I have been inspired by the photograph by and unknown artist. The photographer has used depth of field so the image is focused on just her. The blurred back ground seems to be trees. Although she is the main focus the viewers eyes are drawn to the ball shes holding. I particularly like this image because the look in her eyes is that of distance and the fact shes in what looks like a deserted forest, wearing all black and holding that ball makes her look suspicious.
I think the photographer shot this image in black and white because it looks more realistic and sinister. The tome has been used effectively to create a gloomy atmosphere and scary mood. 
The photograph makes me feel freaked out because it seems she's looking straight through you.
